Veteran & Military Education Benefits

FIC is approved by the Florida State Approving Agency for the enrollment of those eligible to receive Veterans Education Benefits:

  • Chapter 33 Post-911 GI Bill
  • Chapter 31 Voc Rehab
  • The GI Bill provides education benefits to veterans and their dependents. Veterans may transfer all or some unused benefits to their spouse or dependent children.

  • Hospitality Tourism Management (AS)
  • Health Services Admin (AS)
  • Exercise Sports Science (AS)
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certificate

Tuition Assistance

FIC is approved by CareerSource programs for eligible Polk County residents that lead to targeted occupations in the region

Founders Scholarships

FIC awards scholarships to first-time degree seeking students who meet certain criteria. To apply for a first-time student scholarship, you must:

- Apply for Admissions to FIC

- Complete and submit FIC Scholarship Application

Once we have received the above information, you will be sent a letter explaining the status of your scholarship file. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admissions.  


Scholarships are available to U.S. residents who have demonstrated academic achievement and community leadership. The scholarships provide money to assist students with the educational costs of attending college.

Merits Scholarship
Scholarship Amount $20,000 - $28,000
